Welcome to Animal Hospital of San Luis Obispo!

We're located on California Boulevard, next to the Medical Center and across the street from Highway Patrol.

Our large street sign will signal you've found us.

Our clinic features a private parking lot with outdoor space to walk your pet.

Our building was used in the 1970’s as residential housing for Cal Poly students, long before it was converted to an animal hospital.

Our main entrance is located up the stairs at the front of the property, and an accessible entrance is available to the rear.

Come in! When you arrive, you'll be greeted and checked in by our front desk team.

We offer a large, airy front lobby with ample seating for you and your pet’s comfort.

We're happy to provide reading material and a complimentary refreshment station for your enjoyment.

We carry a variety of pet care products including treats, dental care, and parasite prevention.

Our team takes special care to make sure every goodbye is treated with kindness and respect.

You’ll be welcomed into one of three exam rooms, each equipped with seating for you and your pet.

To protect our patients, our exam rooms are sanitized between each and every pet.

Small animals will be examined on the counter. You'll be present and involved in your pet's exam.

Large animals will be examined the old fashioned way - by meeting them on the floor!

Our treatment space is immediately behind the front lobby and exam rooms.

This large, open area is where we carry out a wide variety of diagnostics and procedures.

We perform all dental cleanings, x-rays, and extractions at our wet table.

Our dry table is equipped with everything we need to treat your pet quickly and painlessly.

Our technician’s desk is right in the middle of the action, and features a view into the surgery suite.

A complete in-house laboratory provides us with same-day diagnostics so we can treat your pet specifically and accurately.

We’re glad to be able to fill the majority of your pet’s pharmaceutical needs.

Around the corner from treatment, you’ll find our surgical suite, radiology room, and recovery area.

We’re proud to offer state of the art digital x-ray, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram.

Our sterile surgical suite allows us to perform an array of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Pets that are hospitalized will be attended to frequently. We make every effort to ensure your pet’s comfort and prompt treatment!

Your pet's recovery will include lots of warmth, fluids, and constant monitoring by our technicians.

We even offer a variety of in-house grooming services!

If your pet spends the day with us, our fenced backyard is the perfect spot for a quick walk or bathroom break.

A small kitchen attached to our kennels is used for storage and diet preparation.

Across the hall from our treatment area, you’ll find our staff room and doctor’s office.

Our staff enjoy a large breakroom with a full kitchen and outdoor seating.

Our doctor’s office is located within earshot of our treatment area to allow for easy monitoring.

Our rear entrance features an outdoor seating area and a food shed where we stock prescription diets.
